Native to Baja, parts of northern Mexico, and into southern Arizona, the Red Barrel Cactus is one of the most striking “Barrel Cactus” varieties you’ll ever find. Its red spines literally glow in back-lighted sunshine, adding an eye-catching burst of color to any garden. As it matures, it often clumps at the base and blossoms with beautiful crowns of orange flowers in summer. Growing slowly to 4’ tall, this cactus is hardy to upper teens and thrives in full sun.
