A beautiful, iconic, thornless, prickly pear cactus that produces copious amounts of edible young “tuna” pads in spring and summer, as well as ripe, juicy, red fruits in late summer and fall. Amazingly, this variety of edible cactus is cold hardy to as low as 0 degrees! Yellow flowers in summer, up to 4’ tall and 6’ wide. Full sun. Considered a “super food” nutrition-wise.
